Uses

The bitter yellow substance in the leaves acts a s a laxative stimulating peristalsis in the colon. It is used to treat sunburn , scratches, sooth insect bites , burns , scalds and other irritated skin conditions. Taken internally the gel is useful for treating IBS and can be used for peptic ulcers. Applied topically to the face it is astringent and acts as a toner.

Majikal uses

It guards against negativity and prevents household accidents. Hung in the home over doors to bring good luck.

Constituents

Anthraquinones( aloins, aloe - emodin) , mucilage, resins, tannins, polysaccharides, Aloectin B , aloetic cid, chryssammic acid, resins, volatile oils .
