About

Master herbalist, in practice since 1982

Dipaunka's clinical practice began in 1982 with massage - and with dissatisfaction at the oils available, so he made his own. That grew into Rosewood Natural Skincare (originally Riverbank Natural Therapies), producing all-natural products many moons before it became hip and trendy.

Along the way he studied herbal medicine, bodywork, aromatherapy and iridology, and went on to teach others about the world of herbs, healing and self-empowerment. Herbs are an integral part of his daily life - grown in the working garden you'll find in the Herb Gallery, and worked with daily as food and medicine.

He lives as a herbalist, aromatherapist, alchemist-in-training, teacher and writer, and sees his role as a facilitator: someone with knowledge and experience in healing to draw on and share. In his words - if one does not share knowledge, the knowledge dies with you when you pass on.

He sees no other way forward for us as a species into a happier, healthier future but through reconnection with Nature and the utilisation of plant medicines.

How the medicine is made

Grown, dried, extracted and blended by one pair of hands

Herbs come out of the garden below the house, are dried and extracted on site, and mixtures are blended to order once you place them - not pulled off a shelf. It is the same way he has worked since the 1980s, and the reason the range runs to hundreds of single-herb tinctures rather than a dozen SKUs.
